At Organic4Nature, we base our reputation on trust and honesty. One of the ways to gain trust is by disclosing the full ingredient list of our products on our website using both the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) and in English and French. However, current Health Canada Cosmetic Regulations do not address at this time the issue of having INCI labelling for ingredient listings on website advertisements, however, Health Canada encourages companies to accurately reflect and use the same wording as presented on the product label.
Organic4Nature decided to add the English and French names to ingredients on our website, so that our customers would have the best possible understanding of what they are purchasing. We remain as straightforward as possible in our products descriptions so you can make an educated decision about your natural skincare regime.
INCI listing is a Health Canada cosmetic packaging legal requirement.
Does the word “Butyrospermum Parkii” confuse you? It's the INCI Latin name for Shea Butter. It takes a while to get used to the language, so I always add English and French names on the website.
Familiarize yourself with Health Canada’s regulations and educate yourself with the new INCI universal language for skincare product labeling. That way you will know which ingredients are toxic and which are not when choosing your skin or hair care products. For example, a truly natural and organic shampoo must be free of parabens, urea, sodium lauryl sulfate, phthalates or other harsh detergents.
Did you notice that we don't offer six different skin creams, or a skin lotion that promises miracles or a plethora of shampoos and conditioners?
